DLBS WAS VISITED FOR AAALAC INTERNATIONAL ACCREDITATION

DLBS was visited by 2 AAALAC (Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care) International inspectors on Monday, 26 March 2012. The site visit was intended to review the standard of animal experiments in DLBS according to AAALAC guideline. The inspectors reviewed DLBS program, documents, and vivarium facility. They acknowledged that DLBS has a strong institutional support, good investment, high quality of staff, comprehensive Environment Health and Safety (EHS), well-trained and qualified IACUC (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee), well documentation, as well as clean and well-maintained facility. During this visit, they also suggested few improvements for Animal Pharmacology team. DLBS is hoping to receive AAALAC accreditation in the near future.
