Eurycoma longifolia is famously known for its aphrodisiac effect, which is potentially due to its ability to stimulate the production or action of androgen hormones, especially testosterone. This potential mechanism of action has been supported by several in vivo and clinical studies published in scientific papers.
Product Functions
A study on Babl/c mice assessed the aphrodisiac properties of Eurycoma longifolia root oil (DLBS5055) with doses of 100 mg, 200 mg, and 400 mg daily, compared to a positive control group treated with Sildenafil citrate at 100 mg. The results revealed that the 200 mg treatment group had the highest number of penile erections and the longest duration of erections, significantly surpassing the normal group. This group also showed the shortest time of mount latency, intromission latency, and ejaculation latency, and the highest mount frequency and intromission frequency compared to other treatment groups, though not compared to the positive control group. In addition, the post-ejaculatory interval results were comparable between this group and the positive control group.
